WOW Bangalore aims to bring all bulk water users together, to help them explore how they can move from being part of the problem to being part of the solution. Industry leaders, government officials, business leaders, apartment custodians, decision-makers in malls and tech parks, researchers in academia, and media persons, are all part of these focus groups. WOW is looking to explore how — together — Bangalore can reach that magic mark of saving 1000 Crore liters out of 55,000 Crore liters that the city demands in a year.

Every fortnight, WOW Bangalore brings together the best of experts in all types of city infrastructures that impact air quality, water, energy use, waste management, with action groups and their leaders, subject experts, and practitioners. This Saturday, we will discuss a range of water solutions, like wastewater management techniques, water meters and aerators.

Identity was a focal issue at the Eternal Feminine concert we produced at the major international concert venue Ravinia Park. This was the first, and unfortunately only, concert to focus solely on music by women composers. We commissioned composer Libby Larsen to write a song cycle for the great mezzo soprano Susanne Mentzer. The result was a riff against the pains of beauty.

A clip of mezzo soprano singing “Beauty Hurts” by composer Libby Larsen – a piece which Artistic Circles commissioned for its premiere at Chicago’s Ravinia Park, summer home of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
